About

Faith Stories

Faith Stories retells favorite Bible stories from a faithful Catholic perspective. Each story follows the Catholic Bible and draws on the teaching of the Church, including the Catechism of the Catholic Church, to show what the story means for our lives today. The stories are written with an appropriate version for each of five different levels. Every retelling was carefully reviewed for faithfulness to Scripture and Catholic teaching before it was included. Faith Stories is an independent app. It is not an official publication of the Catholic Church and has not received an imprimatur.

How stories are made

Each story is drafted with AI help, checked against our review checklist, and read by a person before it appears in the app.

No Bible text is quoted. Each story gives its chapter and verse so you can read along in your own Bible.

Original retellings written to be faithful to Catholic teaching. Not an official Church publication.

Sources

Bible references in Faith Stories follow the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition (RSV-CE, 1966), not the RSV Second Catholic Edition. Catechism references are to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition (1997), in the English translation by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Libreria Editrice Vaticana. Our stories retell Scripture in our own words; please read the full passages in your Bible and the Catechism.
