Samuel Hears God

Little Samuel lived in God's house with old Eli, the priest. Samuel helped Eli every day.

One night Samuel was lying down near the lamp. Shh, everything was quiet.

Then a voice called, Samuel! Samuel ran to Eli. Did you call me? No, said Eli. Go back to bed.

It happened again, and again! Pitter-pat went Samuel's feet.

Then Eli knew. It was God calling! Eli said, Next time, tell God you are listening.

So when God called, Samuel said, I am listening, God. And God talked with Samuel.

God loves to talk with you too, when you pray. God is always with you!
